PROCESS STEPS

Step 1: Prepare Applications along with all required documents.  

Step 2: Submit the application to the Directorate of Quarantine Services. 

Step 3: For the first time import, the Directorate of Quarantine Services requires an import risk analysis.

Step 4: Submit additional information if required 

Step 5: Collect the Permit after successful review.

It is the responsibility of importers and their agent to provide the appropriate documents (certificates and import permits) for clearance to National Directorate of Quarantine and Biosecurity, The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Forestry (MAPPF) Permit Requirement Quarantine and Biosecurity Unit (QBU) This includes fresh and frozen fruit and vegetables, plants or plant parts, tissue cultures (including in-vitro laboratory use) or seeds. The applicant must also specify the following product details: method of preparation; certified scheme/accredited source; virus and disease testing procedure; location grown or collected; country/province; treatment or collection center.
